After the success of the Disney animated film Frozen in 2013 and the themesong became an instant favorite not only with kids but also kids at heart until now, Disney Animation brings back Queen Elsa, Anna and Olaf in a short film entitled Frozen Fever. It will be a pre-presentation of Disney prior of the screening of the live action film Cinderella that will be shown in cinemas beginning March 12.
Directed by Beck and Lee, produced by Peter Del Vecho and Aimee Scribner, and executive produced by John Lasseter, the Frozen Fever celebrates Anna’s birthday and Queen Elsa will surely not miss it after years of shutting her door to the world even her sister. Determined to give Anna the big birthday celebration that just wasn’t possible when they were little and lived in their isolated world with the help of Olaf, Kristoff and Sven.
The short welcomes back to the big screen the voices that helped bring the “Frozen” favorites to life. Kristen Bell once again lends her voice to Anna, and Idina Menzel returns as the voice of Elsa. Jonathan Groff voices Kristoff, and Josh Gad provides the voice of unforgettable snowman Olaf. Oscar®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“Up Here”) and Robert Lopez (“Broadway’s “The Book of Mormon”) wrote an all-new song for the short, and composer Christophe Beck (“Cake”) provides the score.
