It’s worth the wait for Police Officer 2 Mariano Flormata, also known as Mister International Philippines Neil Perez as he was awarded as the winner of Mr. International 2014. The competion was held in Inter-Burgo Hotel Ballroom, Ansan, Korea.
Meanwhile completing the list of winners are Lebanon’s Rabih El Zein winning 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up is Czech Republic’s Tomáš Dumbrovský, Poland’s Rafał Maślak bagged 4th Runner Up, and lastly Slovenia’s Mitja Nadizar landed on 5th Runner Up.
Winners of special awards are Youngho Park of South Korea for Most Stylish Award, Colombia’s David Angel for Mister Congeniality, Japan’s Masakazu Hashimoto for Mister Photogenic, Bahamas’ Kenneth Kerr for Best National Costume and Poland’s Rafał Maślak for People’s Choice Award. Neil’s Dinagyang Festival inspired National Costume designed by Edwin Uy won second place in the Best National Costume.
There are 29 countries competiting the Mr. International 2014 now on its 9th year. The 2015 Mr. Philippines will be happening soon, which means Neil’s reign will be shorter. He dedicated the competition to the SAF (Special Action Force) 44 who died during the encounter in Mamasapano in Maguindanao.
