Starting this month (February 2015), owners of Starmobile OCTA can now upgrade the operating system (OS) of their devices from Android 4.2 ‘Jellybean’ to 4.4.2 ‘KitKat’. It can be downloaded via the built-in OTA (Over-The-Air) feature.
The latest Android OS for the 5-inch Starmobile OCTA will help applications downloaded via Google Play works smoothly and function well because of the compatibility with the latest version of the OS. Also included in the update is a new and improved camera app, which now includes a ‘Peace-to-Shoot’ option wherein users need only flash a ‘peace’ or ‘V’ sign with their fingers to activate the camera shutter.
To download and install Android KitKat just go to the setting menu of your Starmobile OCTA and click on About Phone > Wireless Update. You need at least 1GB free on the internal memory of your device.
Meanwhile, key features of the Starmobile OCTA include 18MP rear camera with 8MP front with BSI. It has 32 GB internal memory and 2GB RAM. It has 5-inch Asahi Scratch ResistantOne Glass Solution (OGS) and it is NFC enabled smartphone. Lastly it has 1.7GHz Octa Core ARM Cortex-A7 processor with a 2300 mAh battery.
