In the fourth day of Pope Francis in the Philippines he started the day meeting with the youth in the University of Santo Tomas which thousands joined him. The Pontiff talks about how the youth should have focus in life with the guidance of the Lord. He said that don’t be afraid to cry and to ask which it makes as a person filled humility in our heart. He also prayed for young woman named Krystel who died after the mass in Tacloban City because of the scaffolding that fell on her. She is one of the volunteer in putting up the open-air mass for the Pope.
Meanwhile, after The Voice Kids Philippines champion Lyca Gairanod together with Jamie Rivera performed at the Meeting with the Families in SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena last Friday afternoon, Jamie returned to UST together with Darren Espanto, Jed Madela and Angeline Quinto to join the youth in singing songs of inspiration and faith.
Darren sings the World Youth Day 1995 theme song Tell The World of His Love at the closing part where he stayed with the orchestra. The children joined Pope Francis doing the actions of the song. Angeline performed You Raise Me Up and Jed with Light of a Million Mornings
As this article being written, Pope Francis is having lunch at the Apostolic Nunciature and will be heading at the Quirino Grandstand at 3PM for the closing mass for the millions who are now going to the venue to join the Pope
Pope Francis arrived in the Philippines last January 15 coming from his visit in Sri Lanka and will be heading back to Rome, Italy on January 19. Part of his itinerary includes mass in Manila Cathedral and Tacloban City, meeting with the families in MOA Arena, courtesy call in Malacang, meeting with the religious, Yolanda survivors and blessing of the Pope Francis center also in Tacloban City.
