We always hear the term “Google Mo Lang” or just look for it on Google which in one click of the search button it gives us a wide range of information from news, entertainment, blogs and other sources regarding the topic we are looking for online. Google gave us information, videos, photos and other things that can be helpful in our searches for our sources on our reports, projects, assignments or simply guide for comprehensive information we need to know. And last December 16, Google Philippines already unveiled the list of their top local searches from the over-all search down to different categories. Familiar names from both local and international came out on the list including the number 1 over-all local search which is Channel 2’s comedian Vhong Navarro that became the hot topic on the internet and other traditional media due to the beating incident that involves the businessman named Cedric Lee who is also included in the over-all search.
Vhong also landed top on the Male Celebrities locally searched while Cedric is on top of the Newsmaker category. Other names/topics included in the over-all searches include Flappy Bird (mobile game application), Robin William (deceased Hollywood actor), Rude (hit song of the band named Magic), Frozen (Walt Disney animated film), Paolo Bediones (TV 5 reporter/anchor connected on the leaked intimate video), Jennifer Lawrence (multi-awarded Hollywood actress), Malaysia Airlines (two of the planes of Malaysian Airlines that had tragic accident), and Meteor Garden (Taiwanese series that ABS-CBN once again aired on TV).

In categories: Floppy Bird and Make Up Transformation top the Apps search. In the events Manny Pacquaio’s fight against Algieri and Bradley included in the list. The newly opened Philippine Arena tops the local destinations category. Frozen ranks number 1 in the top movies in local search whereas Toni Gonzaga and Piolo Pascual’s Starting Over Again was the only local produced film on the list. Rude, Blank Space, Let It Go, Royals and All of Me on the top 5 list of locally search music whereas Sam Concepcion’s Dati ranked number 10. The Malaysian Airline MH370 tops the news category. In the newsmaker Cedric and Deniece Cornejo ranks 1 and 3 on the list while The Voice Kids’s Darren Espanto on number 2. Lastly in the TV Shows ABS-CBN’s got all 9 spots in local search including Meteor Garden, The Heirs, Angels Eyes, Pinoy Big Brother All In, The Legal Wife, The Voice Kids, The Voice of the Philippines, Got To Believe and Ikaw Lamang.
