Earlier today (December 20), sports columnist Paul Henson posted on his Twitter account (@TheDeanQuinto) that the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) legend Samboy Lim also known as the Skywalker of the team San Miguel Beermen from 1988 to 1997 is now out from the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Medical City. Henson said that Lim is now in the intermediate care unit but still in coma. He confirmed that the organs of the basketball legend is already stable and breathing on his own.
Lim was rushed to the hospital last November 28 after he collapsed during an exhibition game between fellow PBA legends at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. After retiring from being a basketball player he retained his activeness to sports whereas he teach basketball to kids weekly at the Skywalker Basketball Camp at Dumlao Sports Center in Mandaluyong City.
Prayers and help came to Samboy Lim coming from his friends in the industry and supporters hoping for fast recovery.
