Now on its 40 years Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) recognizes the Philippine film industry with 8 mainstream films including The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, Feng Shui, English Only, Muslim Magnum .357 (To Serve and Protect), Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2, Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo, My Big Bossing and Shake, Rattle & Roll XV and 4 New Wave entries including Gemini, M (Mother’s Maiden Name), Magkakabuang, Maratabat, and Mulat. The awards night happened at the PICC Plenary Hall and hosted Edu Manzano and Kris Aquino.
