More than 1 month to go before the much awaited 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), Star Cinema official unveils the posters of its film entries on the annual movie festival every Christmas Day. Movies under Star Cinema include Feng Shui and The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin that feature two box office stars including Kris Aquino and Vice Ganda, respectively.
Feng Shui is a follow up from the 2004 blockbuster also under Star Cinema that made Kris as the queen of horror movies of the new generation. The film centers on a cursed Bagua mirror where a person gets killed if they stare at the Bagua mirror, with their death relating at any way to their Chinese zodiac. She was with Jay Manalo, Lotlot de Leon, Ilonah Jean, Cherry Pie Picache, and others.
Now on 2014, the film will follow the new recipient of the cursed bagua which is Coco Martin’s character and Kris as Joy returns to the film to stop the cycle of luck and curse that the bagua brings. We will surely see Lotus Feet for sure. The new Feng Shui movie also stars Cherry Pie, Carmi Martin and Ian Veneracion and still under the direction of Chito Rono.
Meanwhile The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin is the sequel of the blockbuster The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin that premiered in cinemas last 2011. Also a non-MMFF movie then, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin follows the story of Banjamin or Benjie played by Vice who stood up for his family in order to stop the civil war whereas the rebel was behind it. With his group in the army they became unexpected heroes because of their special weapons and wittiness.
In The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin, Benjie returns with a new mission with the help of returning friends played by Nikki Valdez, Ken Cipriano, DJ Durano, Vandolph, and Ricky Rivero. New characters are included in the film played by Julia Barretto, Daniel Padilla, Richard Yap, James “Bimby” Aquino-Yap and Alex Gonzaga. Still directed by Wenn V Deramas.
Both films will kick off on Christmas Day together with other films included in the 2014 MMFF.
