Just like Radha after leaving the group Kulay in 2000, she gave music another chance by joining The Voice of the Philippines in 2013 and made it to the team of Lea Salonga until the semi-finals. Nino Alejandro who was a popular singer in the 90s and early 2000s and came from the family of musical artists including uncle the singer-songwriter Hajji Alejandro and cousin singer-actress Rachel Alejandro, takes another chance as a singer by joining The Voice of the Philippines Season 2. His blind audition performance was aired last November 15 singing the song Highway To Hell of AC/DC.
Nino’s performance was 4-chair turner whereas Lea was the first one followed by Apl.de.Ap and Sarah Geronimo and lastly Bamboo. Lea didn’t noticed Nino at first where her reaction was priceless seeing an old friend.
The coaches Apl and Sarah tried to pursued him to join their team and promises domination on the airwaves. Bamboo said that they will learn from each other because they are both rock/alternative singers. In the end, Nino give Lea the power to be his coach and lead him to the right decision in the competition.
The Voice of the Philippines airs every Saturday after Maalaala Mo Kaya and Sundays after Rated K.
