From being one of the successful TV host, actress and product endorsers in the Philippines, Toni Gonzaga returns to her first love which is singing as she releases her 7th album under Star Records entitled Celestine. Named after her, the album showcases not only Toni’s flexibility in terms of vocal talent but also her craft in writing songs which is This Love Is Like which she co-produced with Jonathan Manalo of Star Records. She also wrote the song Awit Ni Ginny which reflects the character of Ginny the character she played in the box office film of Star Cinema with Piolo Pascual and Iza Calzado entitled Starting Over Again.
Toni shared that she was writing the song during the hard times that her character is facing in the film with the help of Olivia Lamasan who motivated her. According to her that the song shows the struggle of Ginny hoping for the love she wanted to have but all along it was already ended.
Aside from the two songs she wrote for Celestine, the album also include Got You, Finally, Sweetest Song, Oh Boy, Di Ba Halata, Kahit Na, and the Moophs remix of This Love Is Like which is produced by Chris Lopez. The album also include her version of Starting Over Again.
Toni also shared that she’s very thankful for all the blessings that she is receiving. And she owes it to the Lord.
