Coming from four weekends of blind audition, the coaches of The Voice of the Philippines Kids are now entering to another level of decision as they decide on who among their 18 contenders from their respective teams will be advancing on the semi-finals. And the way to decide is through the battles where this time each coaches will be dividing their team members to 6 group with 3 kids each where they will be having a showdown. The first team to undergo The Battles will be Lea Salonga where she group her team to with their respective battle songs; Ton-Ton vs Genmarie vs Echo with the song “May Bukas Pa”; Mariane vs Karla vs Darlene (“Firework”); Kobe vs Lorenzo vs Shanne (“Hey Soul Sister”); Giedie vs Angel vs Grace (“When You Believe”); Eufritz vs Coco vs Camille (“Love Song”); and Jimboy vs Angelique vs Rein (“Anak ng Pasig”).
On the first day of the Team Lea Battles three kids coming from the first three groups that had their face off. From the May Bukas Pa performance Ton-Ton won, while in the Love Song performance Eufritz emerges in the group. Next was Darlene who was Lea’s choice in the Fireworks performances. And lastly ending the night with Angel who won the battle round with her fellow three chair turners.
Meanwhile, the showdown continues in Lea’s Team on the day 2 of the battles where two more group in her team will be having their vocal showdown on June 29 hoping one of them will be advancing to the next round. Aside from Lea, coaches Bamboo and Sarah Geronimo are there to give their opinions in the performances.
