After the successful presentation of Rak of Aegis early this year, PETA Theater brings back the residents of Barangay Venizia as they struggle for their everyday lives after the damage that typhoon left them including the flood that was made worse by the subdivision beside them. Returning cast include Aicelle Santos, Isay Alvarez-Seña and Robert Seña as they belted the ultimate throwback songs of the Aegis including Luha, Halik, and Basang-basa sa Ulan.
Rak of Aegis will run from June 20 to August 30 with 64 performances that will be presented from Thursday to Sunday at the PETA Theater in Eymard Drive, New Manila, Quezon City.
The story of Aileen (Santos) who dreamt to be a YouTube sensation wanting to bring fortune to their family after being burdened with the flood and damages brought by the recent typhoon. With the help of her friends they created a video that brought them in the map and everyone sees it as an economic opportunity including their current situation. But behind their agenda is the problem that was not given any solution and drowned by the flood along with their dreams.
Joining the re-run are returning cast members including Kalila Aguilos, Kakai Bautista, Neomi Gonzales, Jerald Napoles, Pepe Herrera, Myke Salomon, Poppert Bernadas, Nor Domingo, Julienne Mendoza, Ron Alfonso, Phillip Palmos, Gold Villar, Gimbey Dela Cruz, Jet Barrun, Paeng Sudayan, Carlon Matobato and John Moran. Also in the 3-month presentation new members of the Barangay Veniza including Kimverlie Molina as Aileen, Oj Mariano as Kiel, Arnel Ignacio as Fernan and Jimmy Marquez as Jewel. Joining the ensemble are choreographer Gio Gahol and Abigail Sulit.
The Rak of Aegis re-run will surely showcase vocal flexibility including some stunts because of their set. It will also offer a good laugh also tears to the viewers as we celebrate the songs of the iconic band Aegis and the journey of every characters in the musical comedy.
