It will rain with tears at the same time everyone will have a new perspective about love especially now that 20th Century Fox brings the best selling novel of John Green in the big screen entitled The Fault In Our Stars. To inspirational romantic comedy film stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort who played the characters of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters respectively.
The film or the novel where it was based showcase a not that extraordinary or perfect love story but the journey of each character and how they made every moment special between the two of them and the people they touch gave a wonderful storyline that will made everyone fall in love in the film or novel the way I do. Though we saw Shailene and Ansel in the film Divergent as brothers and sisters it doesn’t hinder them to create that kind of chemistry on the big screen especially in portraying characters with special cases but still manages to have their own struggles in order to reach out to one another and show their love.
Like what I sad in the title, the film gave us a new view on the word okay where it became a metaphor of sweet word that only Hazel and Gus can say to one another. Aside from that it was great to see on the big screen the heart breaking scenes of eulogy where it became more of a love letter to both characters rather than a message of remorse and pain.
For others the film The Fault In Our Stars is not a happy ending because there’s no miracle that happen in order for the two characters be together (sorry for the spoiler) but the way I see it, it is a happy ending for the case of Gus and Hazel having the strength and love to breath with in last few days of their lives making them moving on each day looking forward for a tomorrow which may not be clearer but something worth living for in their own way.
The Fault In Our Stars also stars Nat Wolff, Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, and Willem Dafoe under the direction of Josh Boone. Currently showing in all cinemas nationwide and don’t forget to bring a box of tissue for a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will last for more than 2 hours.
