After more than 10 years they are finally united on the big screen and being one of the X-Men fan after my heart was broken in the Last Stand sequel, the film renewed my faith (not religion related) that X-Men: Days of Future Past will be a good movie to watch. Aside from the reunion, another points to enjoy aside from seeing Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique which I am convinced is the main character in the film and not Hugh Jackman playing the role of Logan/Wolverine is seeing the old and young faces of Charles Xavier/Professor X which are James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart, and Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto which are Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen.
Now showing in the Philippines, brought by Marvel Entertainment and 20th Century Fox through the distribution of Warner Bros Pictures, X-Men: Days of Future Past offers satisfyingly fast-paced story flow that will not surely bore the movie goers even thought the concept is going down to history. Instead it offers a fast and beefy content on how Charles, Erik, Mystique and of course Wolverine tries to change the past in order secure the future of the mutants.
The film also gives a seamless transition and how it connects future to past and back from the cause and effect including the texture of future which is bolder colors and past with pale for viewers can truly differentiate both side of the story. Unlike the Last Stand film that we cannot take the death of the mutants, in the film it was presented in a very orchestrated way mixing the right sound, movements and slow paced to make it more heart crashing to the viewers.
Indeed, thanks to its director Bryan Singer along with the screenplay and writers of the film executing the film right which gives a redeeming factor for the X-Men franchise. The film also stars Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult, Shawn Ashmore, Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Evan Peters, and Peter Dinklage.
In addition, please do stay until the end of the credits so you can see what Marvel and 20th Century Fox is cooking for everyone which we will enjoy on 2016.
