The new Samsung Galaxy S5 doesn’t only offer innovation but it also acknowledges the needs of a device owners depending on his or her lifestyle. There are three key features of the Galaxy S5 focusing on active lifestyle, multimedia and device’s durability.
Let me discuss the key features on how I use the device based on my lifestyle. Being an a person who is always connected online it is important for me to upload photos and videos through my social media accounts particularly on my blog, Twitter and Instagram. Sharing is the key feature here and it is necessary to have a photo or video with a good quality that is worth sharing online. With the 16.1 MP camera it will ensure me clear photos because of the 0.3 seconds auto-focus feature not to mention the selective focus where I can select where to make my subject or background both clear, or either one will be clear and with blur effects. It also has an HDR true tone feature to make your photos sharper and almost similar to the actual subject. And aside from that sharing will be easy because of the download boaster feature where I can combine my LTE data connection with WiFi that will give me a powerful mobile Internet connection.
Next is the enhanced S-Health feature. This feature was introduced at the Galaxy S4 and later carried at the Galaxy Note 3, with the Galaxy S5, Samsung enhances this feature to cater more to person who has active lifestyle and those who wanted to start that kind of healthy living like me. The S-Health has the pedometer, calorie count and exercise feature when it was introduced and now it has another feature which is the heart rate counter. The S-Health will be more of a personal trainer that will record your calorie intake, count your steps and run and even record your exercise at the same time check your heart rate by placing your index finger at the camera. With this feature it will encourage the Galaxy S5 owners to engage to active an healthy lifestyle.
Third feature is the device’s durability. Like the weather we cannot predict it and so our clumsiness. We are guilty that sometimes we end up checking our phones under the rain or spilling water on it and worse dropping it on the toilet bowl or kitchen/bathroom sink. This time we don’t need to worry because the Galaxy S5 carries the Galaxy S4 Active feature which is water and dirt resistant. The device can be submerged to water up to 1 meter and can last up to 30 minutes without damaging the device. And aside from t durability, endurance comes with it where the Galaxy S5 has the ultra power saving option where the battery can last up to 12 days. The ultra saving option changes to setting of the device that will prolong the life of the battery. Settings include changing of the color of the interface to black and white, deactivating other applications leaving three important basic communication based apps namely call, SMS and internet. With this feature it can be handy for those who travel a lot without thinking on where they can charge their phone.
Now powered with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and running on 2.5GHz Quad core application processor it ensures seamless navigation without logs. Aside from that internal 16GB and external memory can be up to 64 GB.
