The Department of Justice (DOJ) releases their decision on the rape charges filed by Deniece Cornejo against comedian and TV host Vhong Navarro in connection with the mauling incident that happened last January 22. Both affidavit that Cornejo filed that narrated that Vhong sexually assaulted her twice; January 17 and later on the 22nd where the group of Cedric Lee came to rescue her. Navarro denied the said allegation and insisted that he was a victim of extortion. He said he was blindfolded and tied up before being attacked by at least six men, including Lee.
Meanwhile, aside from the junking of the rape case DOJ announced that found probable cause to charge Lee, Cornejo, Bernice Lee, Simeon Raz, Fedinand Guerrero, Jose Paolo Calma and Jeff Fernandez for the crimes of serious illegal detention and grave coercion. DOJ decided to combine all complains posted by Vhong including serious physical injuries, grave threats and illegal arrest, to be absorbed in the illegal detention charge which will be a non-bailable offense.
Before the said announcement of DOJ, Vhong finally respond to another rape case filled by a person named Margarita Mai Fajaro a month after the arise of Roxanne Cabanero who also filled the same case against the actor.
