It will be less than two weeks before voting will be closed at the 27th Annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards where the Pinay actress and TV host Anne Curtis is nominated at the Favorite Asian Act category. It will be the third time for the Philippines to be part of this youth oriented annual recognition to celebrities and movies as their major source of influence. This will be the third year of the said category where as international singing sensation Charice became the first recipient of the award for the category in 2012 followed by Super Junior member Han Geng of China who defeated the Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo in 2013.
Voting is still on-going at the www.nick.com/kca14 where Anne will be competing with other Asian celebrities including GEM Deng Zhi Qi (China), Coboy Junior (Indonesia) and Lisa Surihani (Malaysia).
Meanwhile, other A-list and Hollywood celebrities and movies competing at the 2014 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Sandra Bullock, Katy Perry, One Direction, Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande and many more. Movies including The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Oz the Great and Powerful, Iron Man 3 and Smurfs were part of the nominees.
The awarding ceremony will happen on Saturday, 29 March at 8pm from USC’s Galen Center which will be hosted by actor, TV personality and the cast member of the next Transformers movie Mark Wahlberg. And on Wednesday, 2 April at 4pm it will be broadcasted at Nickelodeon which will be available all cable subscriptions nationwide
