For a person who really enjoyed playing with the brick toy Lego it is an ultimate throwback feeling once you see The Lego Movie that is currently showing in all cinemas nationwide under Warner Bros. Pictures. Featuring the voices of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie, Charlie Day, Liam Neeson, and Morgan Freeman, the computer animated comedy film were directed and co-written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
The Lego Movie offers a simple story of an ordinary man who became the hero of the Lego land in the character of Emmet (Chris) with the help of those who believes in him including Wyldstyle (Elizabeth). He needs to battle the evil person disguised as the leader of the city which is Lord Business (Will). Yes, the plot is simple but what made the story awesome is the seeing our favorite brick characters and the Lego land come to life.
It gives a very nostalgic feeling to the moviegoers like me who are child at heart and even to children who are enjoying playing Lego. As a bonus there are some DC superheroes and other iconic characters that everyone will surely enjoy because of their humor.
The film is available on regular and 3D format but I suggest watching it on 3D to fully enjoy the vibrant colors of each characters and the Lego land itself. Also to add to the beauty of the film is the right choice of the soundtrack that really gives a better recall for both OST and the film itself.
