Coming from the box office success of Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat, Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na ‘To!) and Sisterakas in the Metro Manila Film Festival, award winning comedy director Wenn V. Deramas returns to the annual film festival with another sure blockbuster movie entitled Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy. Staring Vice Ganda, Joey Marquez and Maricel Soriano, the family comedy film will be showing in cinemas starting December 25.
Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy follows the story of quadruplet siblings played by Vice Ganda which the girl and the boy grew in the custody of their rich father while the “bakla” and “tomboy” grew in their poor mother. Reunited because of the will of their mother they became unease to each other but they need to be united in order to save someone within the family who is in need. According to Direk Wenn he appreciates Vice’s contribution to the film where he shared insights and suggestions to make the story better.
But Direk Wenn also confirmed that he find the film very challenging most especially it is very time consuming because there are some scenes that he need to finish up to 8 hours. He pertaining to the scenes where he need to execute all 4 characters of Vice in the story that should interact to each other seamlessly and making everyone believe that they are all together in one scene and 4 different Vice having that scene.
According to him after seeing the material that shot since July he confirmed that it is worth the money of the moviegoers and he is very proud of it. Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy is under Star Cinema and Viva Films and also stars Ruffa Guttierez, Cristine Reyes, Ejay Falcon, JC De Vera, Kiray Celis, JM “Cho” Ibanez, Red Bustamante, and Xyriel Manabat.
