In line with they damage caused by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is now conducting a fund raising through their respective local offices particularly the Philippine office in order to extend their help to the affected families. Up to date more than 4 million children could now be affected by the disaster and UNICEF wanted to ensure their safety most especially in Tacloban as priority and nearby provinces.
Right now, UNICEF had already mobilized their team together with the local government units and government agencies to provide therapeutic food for children, health kits, water and hygiene kits to support up to 3,000 families in the affected areas.
Through their donation page http://donate.unicef.ph, they are now accepting donations online and for cash and cheque deposit, deposit it in the following bank accounts with UNICEF account name: for saving accounts – Banco de Oro: 002-08016364-3, Bank of the Philippine Island: 001-50100335-9, and PNB: 531-10730001-3. For cheque accounts – Metrobank: 066-706631209-3, LandBank: 0052-1393-17, and RCBC: 500000-1882. There’s also over-the-counter donation through SM Bills Payment Counters and Bayad Center nationwide.
