We all love watching videos online during our leisure or when we need to kill time. I do that most of the time watching anything on YouTube from user generated contents, reviews and even movie trailers. But sometimes I hope I can watch movie via my mobile device while waiting on a queuing or stuck on a heavy traffic on EDSA where I need to be destruct for a moment and not thinking all the hassles. But of course there are other platforms that offers movies but it is exclusively on iOs devices until Click Play launches their mobile platform to cater the growing market of smartphone users.
I encountered them during their partnership with PLDT Home Fibr early this year where they’re part of the special bundle for the subscribers. But this time Click Play launched their own online and mobile platform which can be located at www.clickplay.ph. Aside from that for Android users they can now enjoy movie watching on the go through their smartphones and just needed mobile internet to stream and of course with the better network for faster and reliable connection and I am talking about SMART.
Currently, Click Play partners with Sony and Warner Bros Pictures to distribute their movies via streaming for 30 days license. Movie streaming license can be sold for only Php 60 per catalogs and Php 100 for new titles. Within the 30 days license, subscribers can only watch the movies in three devices only when they access their account. And it is only available in the Philippines.
In regards with the payment system, credit cards and paypal are their primary payment options. Meanwhile for SMART subscribers just like their music portal they can purchase the movie license whether they are prepaid or postpaid subscribers. For prepaid the cost will be deducted through their on air load/credit while the postpaid users will see their purchase reflect on their immediate billing statement.
Click Play are now working on the iOs application and expanding their catalogs as they work their partnership with other international and even local movie producers.
