The long wait is finally over, the Philippine version of the iconic Mexican tele-novela Maria Mercedes will now air on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida after Got To Believe starting October 7. Popularized by the Mexican superstar named Thalia, the Philippine adaptation will be played by Jessy Mendiola and will be directed by Chito S. Roño. Joining Jessy in Maria Mercedes are Jake Cuenca, Jason Abalos, Nikki Gil, Vina Morales, Vivian Velez, Nadia Montenegro, Atoy Co, Isabella de Leon, Devon Seron, Ariel Rivera, Yogo Signj, and Alex Castro.
The Philippine adaptation of Maria Mercedes is part of the 60 years offering of ABS-CBN as the TV network pays tribute to tele-novelas of the 90s that touches the heart and inspires million of Filipinos nationwide. The adaptation now offers a Filipino themed concept that will cater more to all the Kapamilyas worldwide showing our family values as the core and hopes and aspirations of every Filipinos wanting to have a better life for their family. Just like Maria Mercedes she will do everything in order to provide for her family that’s her priority in life. At the same time the love interest and struggles that will add spice in the bitter sweet journey of her character as she ushers her way to our lives and became our primetime habit.
Maria Mercedes will be the latest offering of ABS-CBN on their heart warming roster of primetime shows including Annaliza, Juan dela Cruz, Got To Believe and Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.
