One of the popular futuristic movies in the 80s, the 1987 motion picture written by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner entitled RoboCop will be returning to the big screen by February 2014. With a new approach, graphics and cast the reboot of RoboCop will be directed by Jose Padilha and will be presented on the big screen by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Columbia Pictures which will be available in regular and IMAX. The science fiction action film stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson.
The Game of Thrones actor Joel Kinnaman will be playing the role of Alex Murphy, a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. During an explosion he had a fourth-degree burn leaving some parts of his body paralyze. Set in the year 2028, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp which is center of robot technology envisions a RoboCop – a part-man, part-robot police officer. And Alex will be the first RoboCop , the man inside the machine that will pursue justice.
RoboCop also stars Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael K. Williams, Jay Baruchel, Jennifer Ehle, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste with screenplay by Josh Zetumer and Nick Schenk.
