The competition for the first Voice of the Philippines became harder and tighter now that showdown slims down to two contenders each coach. This week on the face to face live show of The Voice of the Philippines it will be Morissette Amon and Maki Ricafort for Sarah Geronimo’s team, for Lea Salonga’s team is Darryl Shy and Mitoy Yonting. Meanwhile, from Bamboo’s team its Lee Grane and Paolo Onesa and last but not the least its Thor Dulay and Penelope Matanguihan for the team of Apl de Ap. Sadly for this round Maki Ricafort, Darryl Shy, Lee Grane and Penelope Matanguihan are eliminated.
The vocal showdown started with Team Sarah where Morissette performed What About Love while Maki did his version of Every Breath You Take. Next is Lea’s team with Mitoy’s Paano and Darryl singing Balita. Meanwhile, from Bamboo’s team Lee Grane performed Losing My Religion and Paolo performed Sky Fall. And to conclude the face off is from Apl’s team with Thor singing Lately and Penelope performing Superstar.
Being only one contestant will be saved and other one will be eliminated per team, the coach will give their scores depending on the performance of their team mates so Sarah gave Maki 40% while Morissette received 60%. Next is Lea giving Mitoy 60% while Darryl with 40%. While Bamboo gave 60% to Paolo and Lee Grane received 40%. And lastly, Apl gave Thor 55% while Penelope 45%. The scores bgiven by the coaches will be combined with the total percentage of combined of text and online votes.
