Live at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) of Resorts World Manila, The Voice of the Philippines had their first ever live show at the same time the viewers have the chance to decide who will stay in the competition. Present at the live show were the coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo and Apl de Ap. Hosted by Toni Gonzaga with V Reporters Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo they will help the viewers with the mechanics of voting on both online and texting. And contestants with high votes will be saved and bottom two in each team will face the decision of the coaches on who will be leaving the competition. The first four eliminated contestants in The Voice of the Philippines Live Show were: RJ dela Fuente, Cora dela Cruz, Talia Reyes and Junji Arias.
Each team will have three from their group who will be performing and from the group of Lea who competed at the first live show are Darryl Shy who performed Danny’s Song, followed by Radha with River Deep Mountain High and lastly RJ dela Fuente performed I’ll Stand By You. Darryl is safe because of text and online votes, and Lea selected Radha over RJ.
Meanwhile, from the group of Apl the first performance came from Cora dela Cruz with the song Nosi Balasi, followed by Thor singing Narito and lastly Jesicca Reynoso performing I Believe. Thor is safe because of text and online votes, Apl selected Jessica over Cora.
The third group to perform is under Bamboo with Talia Reyes taking the lead with the song You Oughta Know, followed by Myk Perez singing Isn’t She Lovely and lastly Lee Grane with her performance of the song Make You Feel My Love. Myk is safe because of text and online votes, Bamboo decided to bring Lee Grane to bring on the next level.
And finally from Sarah’s team, Eva delos Santos is the first performer with the song So Far Away, followed by I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing performance of Junji Arias and lastly Morisette Amon with the song Jar of Hearts. Morisette is safe because of text and online votes, Sarah sided to Eva over Junji.
Each team only has a commercial break for the closing of the votes. This week proceeds from the text and online votes will be donated to the Sagip Kapamilya efforts for the flood victims of Typhoon Maring.
