Even President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III ordered the abolition of the Pork Barrel system last Friday (August 23) which received a positive feedback from all the sectors in the society, the Million People March to Luneta on August 26 at 9AM will push through. The said protest marks the solid stand of the Filipinos to call for the full abolition of Pork Barrel System in the government that became root of corruption among government officials and at the same time a huge contributor in the obvious poverty problem of the country.
The anti-pork barrel protest in Luneta is open to all beyond their political and social affiliation. It will be an “equa to all” on ground activity where as there will be no speeches and banners from mass leaders and politicians and even if President Aquino will be joining the said protest he will just be treated as an ordinary tax payer among those who joined the protest.
Why should we go here? Like what I mentioned it is an anti-pork barrel rally and at the same time we call on government transparency from the lowest position up to the executive post at the same time our loud call against corruption. Being a tax payer who religiously pay our taxes and as voter also we wanted a good governance that will be transparent, accountable and truthful to the Filipino people. Lastly for those who will be joining or anywhere they are join the discussion via twitter sharing your views with either of this hashtags #TayoAngBoss #OnePinoy #MillionPeopleMarch #ProtestaNgBayan and #ScrapPork.
I hope with this protest the pork barrel system abolition will be fully implemented at the same time the government will create a proper and equal distribution of budget to a rightful projects needed by the bigger population and not in the pockets of the corrupt officials that should not be in the public offices.
