In line with the theme “In The Service of the Filipino Worldwide” ABS-CBN strengthen their afternoon Current Affairs programs to cater to the need for information and service of every Filipino. Few weeks ago in the Kapamilya Gold timeslot, ABS-CBN offers five shows that will expose anomalies and scandals, empowerment, teaches entrepreneurship, go in depth and trying to understand mysteries that hard to explain. TV shows include “Bistado,” “Mutya ng Masa,” “My Puhunan,” “Tapatan ni Tunying,” and “Hiwaga”.
Every Monday, Julius Babao will expose stories of abuse, neglect, and cruelty. The program has featured notorious modus operandi and has helped authorities in the rescue of victims of rape, incest, and prostitution through Bistado. The show will serve as the hotline for help for the victims and being partnered with the law enforcers to bring justice on these cases. On Tuesday, Doris Bigornia will be the fairy godmother in Mutya ng Masa where she will spread positive vibes by featuring stories on human interests, concerns, and simple joys. Meanwhile on Wednesday, Karen Davila will help struggling entrepreneurs improve their businesses by having them mentored by successful businessmen who started from rags to riches in her show My Puhunan.
On Thursday, Anthony Taberna asks daring questions and demands direct answers from the most controversial and talked-about personalities in the country in his show Tapatan ni Tunying. And lastly, in the show Hiwaga, Atom Araullo will probe on the truth behind supernatural phenomena that includes Filipino beliefs and even real life experience.
