After Corazon Ang Unang Aswang and Amorosa, Tuhog will be the third brave film that Skylight Films produced and partnered with Star Cinema that will surely offer a rollercoaster of emotions to all its viewers. The film has a dark comedy theme that stars Eugene Domingo, Leo Martinez, Enchong Dee, Empress Schuck, and Jake Cuenca under the direction of Veronica Velasco.
The film follows the story of three individuals named Fiesta (Eugene) a bus barker feared by his co-workers, Caloy (Enchong) a teenager who promises his virginity to his girlfriend, and Tonio (Leo) a retired man who wanted to build his own business. But they’re not perfect as for Fiesta behind the strong face is the problem of her senile father that burdens her, Caloy the fear of being left behind by his friends, and Tonio despite of her hardship before his family never believes in him. Three individuals will meet in an accident that will test their faith and survival.
As a viewer you will surely see yourself in every character in the story. We can be Fiesta who wears a strong and unbreakable mask but behind it is a broken person. We can be Caloy where we try to resist all the temptations in life but sometimes we end up doing it and regret for doing it. And lastly, we can see ourselves to Tonio who has an everyday struggle to prove himself to his family. Each one has a story to tell and we share those stories. And the film with all three characters will give up an extreme dose of those emotions that we will surely not forget and asking ourselves will we fight for it or will we give up?
Tuhog is part of the 20 years anniversary offering of Star Cinema and produced by Skylight Films. It is written by Veronica Velasco and Jinky Laurel and now showing in all cinemas nationwide.
