It is a dream come true for the fans of the two iconic comic book superheroes Superman and Batman to be seen together on the big screen after the success of the Man of Steel that was released recently with the new actor Henry Cavill that reached more than $640 Million in the worldwide box office and also The Dark Knight trilogy that ended last year. In the Comic-Con, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder made a surprise appearance and confirms that the Superman and Batman movie will happen on the summer of 2015 and will start production on 2014. He also confirms that they will have Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and there will be a new actor who will be doing Bruce Wayne/Batman role.
The said announcement of Snyder at Comic-Con was confirmed by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures. Joining the team for the Superman and Batman movie are Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder who will be the producers. Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are serving as executive producers, along with Benjamin Melniker and Michael E. Uslan. And lastly, David S. Goyer will be joining Snyder in co-writing the story.
Having Snyder in control of the project he will surely give a new interpretation to the character of the rich business man of Gotham City named Bruce Wayne and his super hero alter-ego Batman just like what he did to the character of the Kryptonian named Kal-El who was sent in Earth and became Clark Kent and discovered his power to become a superhero in the reboot of Superman entitled Man of Steel.
The film is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, and Batman characters created by Bob Kane, published by DC Entertainment.
