After being part of the 15 movies to be screened for the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) last week, the MMFF Committee headed by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) officially announces the final 8 official entries for the annual film festival that will be competing on Christmas Day. From two entries last year which were Sisterakas and One More Try that were both box office films, Star Cinema will be having three entries for this year. Entries included are Be Careful with My Heart the Movie with Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap, Pagpag with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla in partnership with Skylight Films and Regal Films, and Boy Girl Bakla Tomboy with Vice Ganda and Maricel Soriano in partnership with Viva Films.
Other films included in the official entries of the MMFF 2013 are Kimmy Dora Pre-Quel starring Piolo Pascual and Eugene Domingo under Spring Films, 10, 000 Hours starring Robin Padilla under Phil Film Production, San Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir starring JM de Guzman under Hubo Productions, Torky And My Little Bossing starring Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto under OctoArts, MZET, APT and Kris Aquino Production, and My Super Kap starring Bong Revilla, Ogie Alcasid, and Toni Gonzaga under Imus Productions.
Meanwhile, the 7 films that didn’t made to the final cut of the MMFF 2013 were ER Ejercito’s Boy Golden Robin Padilla’s Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina at Mga Anak, Everbody Loves starring Jake Cuenca and Jericho Rosales, Kaleidoscope World starring Sef Cadayona and Yassi Pressman, Ibong Adarna of Rocco Nacino and Angel Aquino, Hope in a Bottle of Ruffa Gutierrez and Maja Salvador and Carla Abellana and Diether Ocampo’s Kulay Abo ang Langit.
