After the success of the 2003’s Oscar-winning animation Finding Nemo, Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios now brings the sequel of the underwater story now entitled Finding Dory. Still to be directed by Andrew Stanton, the animated film now follows the exciting story of a Pacific regal blue tang with an amnesiac character named Dory featuring the voice of Ellen DeGeneres.
Together with the clownfish and father of Nemo named Marlin (Albert Brooks), Dory will try to find her way home and reunite with her family. The setting of the story takes place a year after the finding of Nemo and in the coast of California. The film will surely offer exciting adventure that children and followers of Finding Nemo will surely enjoy.
Meanwhile, Finding Nemo won Best Animated Feature and nominated in categories including Best Writing, Original Screenplay, Best Music – Original Score and Best Sound Editing at the 2003 Academy Awards. According to Stanton there’s no Dory without Ellen which her distinctive comic voice has resonated with audiences from her first stand-up comedy appearances through her work today on television. In addition, next to the Nemo character that has 16 million likes on Facebook, Dory ranked as the most liked individual character from a Disney or Disney-Pixar film with a smashing more than 24 million likes.
Finding Dory is set to swim on the big screen by November 25, 2015.
