The Philippine Movie Press Club or PMPC continuously gives recognition and support to the Philippine movie industry and now both mainstream and digital films. With this they give awards to the movies, actors, directors and production members of both commercial and independent films for the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Movies last March 10 at the AFP Theater.
Most of the nominated in the PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2013 are coming from the entries of the last year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) that includes Thy Womb, El Presidente and One More Try. In line with this El Presidente dominates the awards night after winning most the technical categories including the Movie Actor of the Year and Movie of the Year. Meanwhile, One More Try’s Angel Locsin brought home the trophy this time which she almost had it in MMFF when the Superstar Nora Aunor was awarded as Best Actress.
