After being on hiatus for almost 4 years, one of rock band icons Rivermaya returns to the music scene as the releases the “Pilipinas, Kailan Ka Magigising?” single under the new label Universal Records. Headed by the remaining founding member of Rivermaya, Mark Escueta their band will be joining the elite roster of bans of Universal Records including Parokya Ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Sponge Cola, and Calla Lily.
Rivermaya is one of the bands that offer songs with a touch of social consciousness which now the main concept of their single Pilipinas, Kailan Ka Magigising? According to Escueta, it is reminder to everyone to go against crab mentality, and selfishness, especially now that another election is within the horizon once again. The single is part of the forthcoming Panatang Makabanda album that offers more songs that will surely appeal to all their listeners because of the great message that it offers to them.
