In line with the campaign in reaching out to the victims of Typhoon Sandy that affected millions of people in the eastern side of the United States in the last few days of October, an all star benefit concert entitled 12-12-12 will happen at the Madison Square Garden in New York. The benefit live concert includes Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who, and Paul McCartney. It will be telecast live in different territories including the Philippines on December 13, 8:30AM via Star World.
Aside from the singers, actors and personalities including Steve Buscemi, Jessica Chastain, Chelsea Clinton, Sean Combs, Billy Crystal, Leo DiCaprio, Jimmy Fallon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Karlie Kloss, Seth Meyers, Bobby Moynihan, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Susan Sarandon, Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Quentin Tarantino, and Brian Williams showed their support and will be joining the 12-12-12 benefit concert.
The live concert will be a venue for phone call pledges in order to raise fund for the victims especially in areas like coastal areas of Long Island, Queens, Staten Island and New Jersey. Funds will be given to the Robin Hood Relief Fund that handles the ongoing relief operations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The12-12-12 Benefit Concert for the victims of Typhoon Sandy will be aired on December 13, 8:30AM (Manila Time) on Star World on Sky Cable Ch48 or Ch172 on HD, Cignal Ch50 or Ch100 on HD, Cable Link Ch28 or Ch310 on HD, Dream Ch16, and almost 400 cable operators nationwide.
