Beauties and brains collided at the Las Vegas, USA after awarding the Miss Universe 2012 title to Ms. USA Olivia Culpo. She succeeded Leila Lopes of Angola who won last year. Joining Cuplo in the circle of winners for this year’s Ms. Universe were Ms. Philippines Janine Tugonon – 1st Runner Up, Ms Venezuela Irene Esser – 2nd Runner Up, Ms. Australia Renae Ayris – 3rd Runner Up, and Ms. Brazil Gabriela Markus 4th Runner Up.
Ms. Philippines Janine Tugonon trended on twitter worldwide after giving that very inspirational message to bring home hope and inspiration to her country men this Christmas which became victim of the Typhoon Bopha few weeks ago especially those living in the southern region of the country. Meanwhile, Ms. USA Olivia Culpo who won the crown gives live to their country after the devastation that their country encountered and recently with the murder in the Newtown Connecticut.
Other special awards that pageant gave were Miss Congeniality to Ms Guatemala Laura Godoy, Miss Photogenic to Ms Kosovo Diana Avdiu, and Best National Costume to Ms. China Ji Dan Xu. Judges of the Miss Universe 2012 include judges that includes singer-songwriter CeeLo Green, world series champion and MVP Pablo Sandoval, photographer Nigel Barker, singer-actor Diego Boneta, TV personality Scott Disick, celebrity stylist Brad Goreski, award-winning chef Masaharu Morimoto, Miss Universe 2012 Ximena Navarrete, Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings, and TV star Lisa Vanderpump.
