Rise of the Guardians follows the return of Pitch (Law) or also known as The Boogeyman who wanted to be in control with the children in the world and erase their beliefs to the four guardians namely North (Baldwin) or also known as Santa Claus, E.Aster Bunnymund (Jackman) or also known as the Easter Bunny, Tooth (Fisher) or also known as Tooth Fairy and Sandy or also known as Sandman. Each guardian has his/her core; North is wonder, E.Aster is home, Tooth is memories and Sandy is dream.
With the threat that Pitch imposes to control the children, the four guardians wages war against him but their power is not enough and the Man in the Moon suggested to bring Jack Frost (Pine), the mischievous spirit of winter to be included in their team. But being new in the team how will Jack fit himself with the rest of the guardians who knows their core and their responsibility in the lives of every child?
Rise of the Guardians It is a kind of film that doesn’t only cater to children but even for adults where it gives them chance to reminisce their childhood memories or be a child once again seeing their favorite characters together in one movie. It is good movie especially for holiday season that tackles about friendship, reaching for your dreams and family.
It is better to see it on 3D where it was perfectly done especially on IMAX. Everyone will surely enjoy the animation and graphics especially that DreamWorks Animation chooses more vibrant colors that will not blend the characters in the background. As for the story, it offers a usual heroic approach and saving the world at the end of the day but having different kinds of characters that has his or her own story to tell it will not bore everyone in its 97 minutes or 1 hour and 37 minutes running time.
So be a child once again and watch Rise of the Guardians in cinemas nationwide beginning November 28. Available in 3D, 3D IMAX and regular format and distributed by with United International Pictures through the Solar Entertainment Corporation.
