After their successful tandem in the Pan-Asian series entitled The Kitchen Musical, Karylle and Christian Bautista will be conquering the stage of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Main Theater on November 30 to December 9 for the hit pop ballet musical entitled Rama, Hari. This is the project of Ballet Philippines where they first staged the musical at the CCP in 1980 with Basil Valdez and Kuh Ledesma as the voices behind Rama and Sita.
Rama, Hari was choreographed by Ballet Philippines’ founder Alice Reyes, with musical direction of Ryan Cayabyab, while National Artist for Literature Bienvenido Lumbera wrote the libretto and National Artist for Theater Design Salvador Bernal did the set and costume design. It is based from the Indian epic Ramayana that follows journey of Rama (Christian) whose wife named Sita (Karylle) was abducted by the demon Ravana (Robert Seña).
