Last September 17, the producers of the American Idol officially confirmed that the pop singer Nicki Minaj will be joining the panel of judges for the American Idol Season 12 that will be telecast starting January 2013. Minaj will be the fourth judge of the hit reality-singing competition in US and she will be joining Mariah Carey and Keith Urban where just joined the show for the 12th season and the veteran Idol judge Randy Jackson. She appeared in her mixed pink and blonde hair during the press conference of the American Idol Season 12 and already answered the rumor of her feud with Mariah which both of them immediately denied.
Onika Tanya Maraj or popularly known as Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born American rapper, singer, and songwriter that has Jay-Z and Foxy Brown as her musical influencer. Up to date, Minaj already released two albums and two major international concert tour. She already appeared in some of the episodes of American Idol and will surely add spice to the panel of judges being a hip hop performer and with her unique style and singing.
Auditions for the American Idol Season 12 is now happening in different key cities in US and all judges are present to select who will be joining the competition which one of them might follow the footsteps of the American Idol winners including Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Scotty McCreery and Phillip Phillips.
American Idol Season 12 will start on January 2013 and will be airing on Fox and in different channels depending on the countries/territories it will be airing. It will be hosted by Ryan Secreast.
