He became part of the resistance against the Martial Law and became the Senate President that takes the lead on the impeachment proceedings of the two influential politicians in the country. Originally the autobiography of Manong Johnny was around 2, 000 pages and with the help of Nelson Navarro, a journalist, he edited it until it reaches the final form which is 772 pages.
