Fate wasn’t good for the Filipino-Australian singer Chris Cayzer who tries his luck to be part of the final 12 of The X-Factor Australia. Cayzer was short listed from the Over 25s Category when the assigned mentor and judge Guy Sebastian decided to send him home and selected Samantha Jade, Justin Standley and Nathaniel Willemse to be his final contenders for the reality-singing competition in Australia.
The announcement was made by Sebastian during the Wednesday episode of The X-Factor Australia that’s currently airing on Australia’s local channel Seven Network. During the audition of Cayzer, Sebastian is very vocal about not being amazed with the talent of the 25 year old Filipino-Australian X-Factor aspirant while other judges including Ronan Keating and Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Melanie Brown approve his audition piece which is a rendition of Vanessa Carlton’s A Thousand Miles.
During the boot camp where Cayzer was part of the 20 X-Factor hopefuls, the Over 25s Category was assigned to Sebastian and with Alicia Keys as the superstar guest mentor they decided who will be staying at the group and who will be going home.
Before auditioning to The X-Factor Philippines, Chris Cayzer started his career as one of the actors in ABS-CBN’s Bituing Walang Ninging of ABS-CBN that aired in 2006 and releases his self-titled album in 2006 under Nugen Music and 2009 with the album You’re The Only Thing under Warner Music Philippines. After ABS-CBN, Cayzer moves to GMA 7 as a performer in SOP, an afternoon musical variety show of the Kapuso Network in 2008 and in 2010 he transferred to TV 5 until he decided to return to Australia to be with his family and continue his singing career there.
