A week after its premiere in all cinemas nationwide, Star Cinema announces that the horror suspense film The Healing earns more than Php 80 million in its first week of showing. The Healing stars Vilma Santos, Kim Chiu, Martin del Rosario, Janice de Belen, and Pokwang. It was directed by Chito S. Roño and written by Roy Iglesias. It is still showing in all cinemas nationwide and it has two versions the R-13 and R-18 which is commonly known as the Director’s Cut that contains uncut scenes that shows more visuals that is very much needed in the story.
The film is about the character played by Governor Vi that believes in faith healing which despite of the warning of the healer is no longer practicing her gift she still insisted and bringing along some people close to her. At the end, something happen with her and the people she brought. Does it mean it was the negative impact of her being persistent with the healer?

The Healing is also showing in selected theaters in North America, Guam, Canada and Papua New Guinea to let the Filipino community abroad appreciate and see this one of a kind film as it also celebrates the 50 years of Vilma Santos in the showbiz industry.
