Box Office King John Lloyd Cruz returns to the big screen few months after the success of Unofficially Yours as he finally reunites with her original love team Bea Alonzo for the movie The Mistress. Directed by Olivia Lamasan and produced and distributed by Star Cinema, The Mistress celebrates the 10th year of Bea and John Lloyd as onscreen love team for both film and television where Popoy and Basha of One More Chance and Eli and Jackie of Maging Sino Ka Man where among the iconic characters that they portrayed that gives impact to their viewers and followers of their tandem.
The film gives John Lloyd Cruz a challenging role where he plays the role of a man who fell in love with Bea Alonzo who supposed to be a mistress of a business man played by Ronaldo Valdez. Unlike from the usual characters that John Lloyd and Bea played in films and television where they easily fell in love to each other and will straightly go to a happy ending, The Mistress gives so many twist and turns to their characters that adds up to the complication that Bea will be choosing between the two men she both love.
Aside from that as Hilda Koronel plays the wife of Ronaldo in the film, it also marks their reunion with the multi-award winning veteran actress whom they work in 2006 with the teleserye of ABS-CBN entitled Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin. The Mistress will kick off Bea and John Lloyd’s 10th anniversary as love team which will be followed by A Beautiful Affair that will be airing very soon on ABS-CBN.
The Mistress will be showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning September 12, 2012 under the production and distribution of Star Cinema.
