7.9-magnitude earthquake shaken most of regions in the Philippines around 8:47PM, August 31, 2012. The earthquake was felt in most areas in the Philippines including Davao City, General Santos City, Iloilo, Cebu and up to Metro Manila. The center of the earthquake was located at was located 146 kms east of Guiuan, Samar as reported in the website of United States Geological Survey’s (USGS).
The radius of the earthquake reaches 213 km (132 miles) NE (54°) from Surigao, Mindanao, 227 km (141 miles) E (100°) from Tacloban, Leyte, and 779 km (484 miles) ESE (121°) from MANILA, Philippines.
As of this post was written there’s no report yet of the damage caused by the 7.9 Magnitude earthquake but Tsunami Warning was raised in the Pacific Ocean side where countries like Taiwan, Papau New Guinea, Guam, Indonesia, Japan, Guam, Nothern Marianas and even some regions in the Philippines
