Opening on May 2012, Columbia Pictures brings an action comedy film entitled 21 Jump Street and stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill playing the role of Greg Jenko and Morton Schmidt. The film based on the 1987 television series of the same name by Stephen J. Cannell was directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and written by Hill and Michael Bacall. 21 Jump Street is a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Original Film in association with Relativity Media an Original Film / Cannell Studios production.
Before they entered the Police Academy Jenko and Schmidt high school enemies but because of work they were forced to settle things somehow. Being not the best cops in the group at first, they were given a chance to turn it around by joining the police department’s secret Jump Street unit, run by Captain Dickson (Ice Cube). Jump Street unit aims to undercover as students and teenagers in order to go deeper to the task assigned to them.
Torn between playing the undercover task and going to the middle age Jenko and Schmidt where they must think of better ways to blend to the teenagers of today. Until their own issues during their adolescent days flashes back which they also need to settle including the terrors and anxiety they have before.
The action comedy film also stars Brie Larson, Dave Franco, and Rob Riggle. 21 Jump Street will be distributed in the Philippines by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.
