Coca-Cola Philippines really know how to bring happiness to the Filipino youth after staging this once of a lifetime 12-hour long Coca-Cola Concert ng Bayan at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Ground last March 23. This ultimate Coca-Cola event is their way to show their gratitude to the million supporters nationwide as they celebrate 100 Years. It started 3pm and lasted beyond 3am the following day, it reminds me Woodstock event that’s a 3 day event of music and art, and here in the Philippines it’s 12 hour of fun and music showcasing OPM singers and bands with a special performance of Craig David.
I’m very thankful to be part of this Coca-Cola Philippines event, having the chance to enjoy music with my friends and fellow bloggers and even see my favorite band Parokya ni Edgar, Sponge Cola, Somedaydream and Wolfgang perform live on stage. Aside from that being a huge fan of Sarah Geronimo, Gloc 9, Rico Blanco, Ely Beundia and Gary Valenciano seeing them perform live in front of the thousands of Filipino youth is something memorable and it was made free by Coca-Cola.
Aside from being a big concert of Coca-Cola, it is also a celebration of OPM (Original Pilipino Music) where it gives every band and artist to showcase their talents whether its pop, ballad, acoustic, alternative, hip-hop or rock on one stage in front of Filipino youth. What’s good with it is that Coca-Cola gives them the chance to collaborate with each other like what Wolfgang who is a rock band performing together with Gloc 9 who is a rap singer. It is very refreshing to see bands collaborating with fellow bands or individual singers and see how they blend together and make beautiful songs together.
This is something worth remembering and sharing to your friends and future generation in being part of the Coke history which is also our own Coke-story to keep. After the Free Coke activity and this Coca-Cola Concert ng Bayan I am looking forward to see more “happiness” activity in the future and I am very much excited being I am huge follower and supporter of Coca-Cola.
