After its huge success in 1997, 20th Century Fox brings the love story of Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson on the big screen for the release of Titanic which is now on 3D beginning April 7, 2012. James Cameron who is the director of this film and introduces the immersive 3D technology in Avatar will be working the same technology in this timeless movie. Scenes were enhanced, and movie goers will never forget this never-before-seen experience re-mastered in digital 3D. Titanic 3D stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
The film will bring the movie goers inside the RMS Titanic where love blooms between Jack (DiCarpio) and Rose (Winslet). Jack who actually won a ticket for two at the maiden voyage of Titanic on a game at pub near the port, while Rose coming from a well to do family will be travelling with her fiancé Cal Hockley (Billy Zane). She will be marrying him after the cruise and as a gift for their marriage; Cal gives Rose the diamond necklace called the Heart of the Ocean. With an accident, the lives of all the passengers and crew of Titanic changes as they struggle for survival including Jack and Rose whose love grew stronger as the hold on to each other and try to survive.
The release of Titanic 3D on April coincides with the 100th anniversary of the ship’s first voyage. The film also stars Billy Zane, Frances Fisher, Gloria Stuart, Bill Paxton, Kathy Bates, Danny Nucci, Bernard Hill, Victor Garber and Eric Braeden. Titanic 3D won 11 awards at the 70th Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, Best Sound Effects Editing, Best Original Dramatic Score, Best Film Editing, Best Original Song, and Best Art Direction.
