After the release of Horton Hears a Who and The Grinch, another creation of Theodor Seuss Geisel aka Dr. Seuss will be hitting the big screen beginning March 17, 2012. I am talking about the 3D-CG film Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax which will be released and distributed Universal Pictures through Solar Entertainment Corporation. It features the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron and Taylor Swift and it was directed by Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda.
Set in Thneed-Ville, a city where everything were artificial, two teenagers named Ted (Efron) and Audrey (Swift) dreams of seeing an actual tree and embarks on a journey to find one. Outside their city, they met the isolated Once-ler (Ed Helms), who recounts the story of how he met who shares the story of meeting the Lorax (DeVito) who was a grumpy yet charming guardian of the land. Having the excitement of seeing an actual tree and wanted to bring home one of it, Ted tries to cut one and there comes Lorax defending the land that he is guarding. Having a not that good meeting with the Lorax, will Ted and Audrey finally succeed to share to their fellow people what they discovered and will they finally bring home a real tree in the city?
Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax also features the voices of Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, Betty White and Jenny Slate. The animated film is available in 3D, IMAX 3D and regular format. It will be available in all cinemas nationwide beginning March 17, 2012.
