After their “kilig” tandem in Guns and Roses, teen stars Empress and Ejay Falcon returns to television with another drama entitled Mundo Man ay Magunaw which was loosely based from the 1990 film with the same title that was written and created by Salvador Royales. This series will kick off beginning January 30 on ABS-CBN’s Afternoon timeslot. Directed by Jeffrey Jeturian and Rechie Del Carmen, the afternoon drama show also stars Eula Valdes, Nikki Gil, Tessie Tomas, Sylvia Sanchez, Allan Paulem Jayson Gainza, Alex Castro, Pinky Amador, and Dianne Medina.
Mundo Man ay Magunaw follows the struggle of Olivia La Peña (Valdes) after serving her sentence for killing her husband as she wanted to be reunited with his 2 daughters; Jenny (Gil), who was taken by Donya Alicia (Tomas) when she was young and Sheryl (Empress) whom she thought died because of an accident but the truth she was taken by Lani (Sanchez) has her own after the death of her child. Olivia returns and wanting to change her life, but with all the lies around her including her two daughters having differences will her world be whole again?
Having different layers of personal conflicts, each character in Mundo Man Ay Magunaw will offer a kind of afternoon drama chemistry that every viewer will really love and hate. This is the time where Eula Valdes will be playing a different kind of role where instead of being the antagonist in this series she will be playing one of the central characters. While Tessie Tomas returns to drama after her last acting project with ABS-CBN show entitled Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako in 1999.
