After his stint in New Year’s Eve with Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron will return to the big screen on 2012 to play the role of Logan Thibault in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ The Lucky One. Scott Hicks directs the film and Efron’s co-stars on this film are Taylor Schilling, Jay R. Ferguson, and Blythe Danner.
The Lucky One follows the journey of Logan who just came back from his third tour of duty in Iraq in search for a woman in a picture he found and doesn’t even know. He discovered that the lady in the photo was Beth (Schilling) and owns a local kennel. Logan took the job and grew friendship with Beth until they start falling in love with each other. The film takes on the two characters who are searching for themselves and find that missing piece in one another but secrets will unfold that may break or make their love (stronger) they have for each other.
This is the seventh film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel. Message in a Bottle (1999), A Walk to Remember (2002), The Notebook (2004), Nights in Rodanthe (2008), Dear John (2010) and The Last Song (2010) were the other six. The The Lucky One will be shown in all cinemas nationwide on April 2012 and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
