The United Nations World Food Programme (UN WFP) officially opens their emergency funds to help the victims of Typhoon Sendong (Washi) in Iligan, Cagayan de Oro and other affected areas in Mindanao. The organization already delivered energy biscuits with the help of the Philippine Air Force and later will be providing emergency food supplies to thousands of people including clean drinking water and medicine. WFP partners to the national and local government to fully distribute and caters to the needs of the typhoon victims especially to children who were very much affected of the said calamity.
WFP appeals to all its supporters and donors to reach out and support the emergency fund raising for the Philippines. In the donation page they are giving two secured options to send donations.
